Welcome to CASTEM CLUB

A STEM club for children and young people in Cambridgeshire

Activities

CASTEM Club is a dynamic STEM club for school students in Cambridgeshire, dedicated to fostering a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our students participate in regional and national STEM competitions, exploring fields such as robotics, rocketry, astronomy, and Raspberry Pi projects that incorporate innovative gadgets and sensors. We also foster a passion for advanced mathematics and informatics, preparing young learners for the challenges of tomorrow.

By equipping young minds with cutting-edge skills early on, we cultivate the next generation of STEM innovators and entrepreneurs. Our programs are designed to complement traditional school curricula by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements—especially as the demands of the STEM fields evolve rapidly. Through our hands-on activities and competitive events, we empower students to explore, innovate, and excel in STEM and prepare them for future STEM careers.

Skills

We provide hands-on training in a wide range of technical skills, equipping students with the foundational and advanced knowledge needed for real-world STEM applications. Our programs cover coding, 3D design and printing, laser cutting, engraving, virtual reality, and gaming. Students also gain experience in designing and developing sophisticated models, including planes, drones, rockets, and cars, fostering creativity and engineering expertise.

Beyond technical skills, we emphasize essential soft skills such as public speaking, presentation, technical writing, and entrepreneurship. These skills help students effectively communicate their ideas, collaborate on projects, and develop the confidence needed to become future STEM leaders and innovators.
